Thrust-to-weight ratio
6.00: 1
4,800.00 gf vs 800.00 gf
Reference figure — static bench thrust is not full-flight thrust.
Formula
- 1.
Ratio = Total Thrust / Takeoff Weight - 2.
Total Thrust = Thrust per motor × Motor count
Worked example
- 1.Inputs: 1200 gf × 4, 800 gf AUW.
- 2.Ratio = 4800 / 800 = 6.0.
Assumptions and limits
- Do not treat static thrust as in-flight thrust.
- Prop wash, voltage and flight mode change the real figure.

FAQ
Is 2:1 enough to fly?
Yes for cruising, but freestyle/racing typically wants 4–8:1.
Assumptions
- Per-motor mode assumes identical thrust on every motor.
- Same force unit on both sides (gf).
