RC Boat Power-to-Weight Calculator
Compare motor power against boat mass in watts per kilogram or watts per pound.

Result
Power-to-weight
267W/kg
(120.96 W/lb)
Boat mass
4.50kg
A comparison metric only — it does not predict top speed, acceleration or efficiency. (定义待产品复核)
Formula
- 1.
Power-to-Weight = Power (W) / Mass (kg) - 2.
W/lb = W/kg ÷ 2.20462
Worked example
- 1.Inputs: 1200 W motor, 4.5 kg boat.
- 2.Ratio = 1200 / 4.5 ≈ 267 W/kg ≈ 121 W/lb.
Assumptions and limits
- This is a comparison figure, not a speed or performance guarantee.
- Two boats with the same W/kg can perform very differently — hull and propeller dominate.

FAQ
Does more W/kg mean faster?
Not directly — propeller, hull drag and setup decide how much of that power becomes speed.
Assumptions
- Power is the motor electrical rating you enter — not verified shaft output.
- Mass is the ready-to-run boat mass including battery.
